Steel from 64 HRC
steel from a hardness of 64 HRC Hufschmied than the hard application area of the hardened steels. In particular, cutting and forming tools for sheet metal parts as well as cold and hot forming tools are made from these steels. In mechanical engineering, the material is used in the manufacture of components such as spindle bearings or valve controls, which are subject to particularly high loads and at the same time have to function with great precision.
When manufacturing engineering components from hardened steel with over 64 HRC, as with all materials, the focus is on the shortest possible processing time. At the same time, it is particularly important here that the cutting tools have a long service life.
High feed and finishing cutters for more efficiency
Hufschmied has developed a time-saving concept for processing hardened steels, which enables particularly efficient production. It consists of the HHF646 high-feed milling cutter and the HHF676 high-feed ball milling cutter in combination with the HC645 to HC647 series finishing milling cutters.
The HC63XM and HC64XM mini milling cutters are used for small machining tasks. All tools can be supplied with the PVD coating TL13.
