For the processing of plastics on simple CNC machines in the low and medium feed range, the ECO-Line tools Z2 are the cost-efficient variant from the Hufschmied portfolio. The cut edges, especially with deep-drawn thermoplastic components, are burr-free and smooth. Due to the specially optimized tip geometry, these tools plunge into the material without increased temperature and also do not form a bulge around the bore. Due to the polished finish, the chips remain relatively cold, which means that they are removed from the machining zone quickly and in a targeted manner without smearing.


The Universal Line includes all tools, both end mills and thread milling cutters, as well as drills for processing plastics. The necessary form cutters and side milling cutters for the demanding machining of plastics are also shown. A special area of ​​application for the Universal-Line HSC cutters with three cutters is foam processing for milling foam and tools for surface processing for medical technology.


The Sharp Line includes special HSC milling cutters for high-gloss finishes or the processing of soft plastics or soft aluminum on high-speed machining centers, which are used specifically in the interior area of ​​the automotive and aviation industries.


For the needs of Plexiglas machining there are tools from the Milling per Plex line. For finishing clear edges in plexiglass, end mills and full radius cutters are a highly cost-effective and easy-to-use technology.


In the high-performance tools product area, the tools for model making are covered by the Proto-Line, which offers torus milling cutters and full-radius milling cutters for Ureol and aluminium.


The Fiber-Line includes the shank and drilling tools that meet the requirements of the materials used in lightweight construction, such as glass and carbon fiber. There are special drilling tools for CFRP-metal combinations as well as for pure CFRP or GFRP. These tools do not necessarily have to be used on CNC machines. The fiber drills and the HEXA-CUT tools are also used in hand-held machines.


These all-ceramic cutting tools based on silicon nitride were developed for volume machining of plastics. The ceramic material is extremely light, the tools achieve the highest speed values ​​without loading the spindle bearings.
Thanks to a newly developed chip geometry, previously unachievable, highest feed rates are achieved. The cutting edge geometry and the optimized grinding of the tools produce perfect cutting edges.

In the medical and dental industries, too, more and more materials are being used that meet the requirements of the different materials in terms of surface quality and service life. Here we offer our complete product portfolio for the different machines and materials on ball and full radius milling cutters but also on shank and torus milling cutters up to the diamond-coated version.


In times of demographic change, medical technology is getting ever larger areas of application - be it through implants, surgical instruments or medical devices. What these engineering components have in common is that the use of new materials can help people much better. In the field of implants, components are made of plastics such as UHM/PE, PEEK, CFRP or metals such as titanium, stainless steel or chrome-cobalt steels. In order to be able to produce these components quickly and cost-effectively, special tools from the Hufschmied production program required. Toric milling tools, copy milling tools, but also spiral and step drills are used in order to be able to process these plastics fibre-free, burr-free and with the highest surface quality. When it comes to metals, the surface quality and longevity of the processing tools are also important. These tools are used, for example, in knee prostheses, dental implants, but also in dialysis machines and heart pacemakers.

For the high demands on service life and process reliability when cutting plastic and leather skins Hufschmied Carbide or ceramic cutting blades developed. This means, for example, that invisible tear-off edges in airbag systems can be cut safely and precisely. Mass-produced steel blades made of spring steel do not meet these requirements. The individual labeling and traceability of the solid carbide blades (VHM) increases process reliability.

Advantages of solid carbide blades:
Mass-produced steel blades, while very inexpensive, cut highly inaccurately. Power Blades by Hufschmied increase process reliability and are the more cost-effective solution in the medium term due to the longer service life (factor 10 to 20).

Solid carbide blades for cutting scores of foils and skins in the cold cutting process:
The design in VHM leads to extreme service life with the highest cutting quality. In the case of airbag cuts in particular, the long cycle times enable almost uninterrupted production in series production.

The Graphite Line contains mini ball end mills and full radius end mills for processing graphite. A special highlight are the roughing cutters and finishing cutters to reduce the machining time of an electrode.


For machining hard steels, we have the Hard-Line tools for tool making. Here we start with a diameter of 0,5 for the ball and torus milling cutters as mini milling cutters, up to the large multi-bladed milling cutters for cutting tool construction up to a diameter of 20.


The tools of the Kupfer-Line are characterized by the highest dimensional accuracy and concentricity. Their special feature: the polished finish in the chip space and on the first clearance angle of the circumference. Long service lives and short processing times make their use very economical.
