Customer consultations with augmented reality glasses – spatially separated but still side by side at the milling center

This technology enables Hufschmied to interact with customers around the globe even during the Corona pandemic. All the customer needs is just a PC or notebook. Through it, he can watch a streamed video and follow all the technician’s work steps. This application is particularly intuitive, as it allows the customer to talk to the technician at any time during the demonstration and ask any questions.  Through this modern process, problem solving on machines can be conveyed virtually by the technician and processes can be improved. The technology with augmented reality glasses in customer dialog saves travel costs and time, especially now in the Corona situation – in other words, more sustainability through digitalization.
However, the augmented reality glasses can do even more: additional functions besides recording videos are, for example, the playback of checklists and hints in an augmented reality. Thus, users can achieve quality standards more efficiently thanks to a hands-free environment.
